Membertou, after a long and difficult road during the latest wave of COVID-19, I am pleased to inform you that we’ve been working hard to reopen Membertou safely during Phase Two.
On Wednesday June 16th, Membertou’s businesses will reopen, including:
- The Membertou Sport & Wellness Centre
- The Membertou Trade and Convention Centre and Kiju’s Restaurant
- Lanes at Membertou (restaurant and simulators only, lanes opening later)
- Membertou Heritage Park
The Membertou Market & Chicken and Deli, along with the Membertou Tobacco Shop and Petroglyphs are open now. The Membertou Entertainment Centre (MEC) will continue with online bingo games, and is reassessing for later phases. COVID-19 testing has resumed at the MEC, and will be available on Monday’s and Tuesday’s going forward, from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The Membertou Band Office and associated facilities will reopen on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at 9 a.m.
In Membertou, we will continue all COVID-19 policies and procedures to ensure safety for our community and staff. Myself and the council are grateful for your cooperation, patience, and support throughout the pandemic. We do all things better, when we do them together.
