Membertou Newsletter

Aknutmaqn, meaning “newspaper” in Mi’kmaq, was named by the late Helen Martin and started by Daniel Christmas in 1977.

 

The Aknutmaqn is a bi-weekly newsletter that is used as a communications tool which includes upcoming events, deadlines, employment opportunities, congratulatory wishes, etc. and is distributed to each household in Membertou.

 

All newsletter submissions must be sent to:

communications@membertou.ca one week prior to newsletter release date.

Celebration Greeting Consent Form

We’re bringing Celebratory Greetings back into the Aknutmaqn! Please respect and follow the guidelines before submission:

 

1.) Pick up consent form at the Membertou Band Office OR download at: www.membertou.ca

2.) Fill out form. Celebrant must approve and sign request.

3.) Submit consent form at the front desk of the Membertou Band Office or via email at: communications@membertou.ca

4.) Please follow newsletter submission deadlines. All content must be submitted one week prior to the newsletter release date.
